Myriam Borg, Create Australia Refund Consulting Program Founder Says...
“We Are 100% Creators Of Our Own Reality."
There are clear traits and attributes that define whether you are a success or a failure.
The truth is we live in an age where we are better informed, where we are better empowered, where we are better able. Yet business statistic still show 98% failure rate for businesses within the first 10 years.
On a personal note we have our highest divorce rates ever in western nations.
How can we be in an era that enables us so much and yet see the highest failure rates in over 50 years both professionally and personally?
There are many reasons for this, but excuses are irrelevant- because we are accountable for all of our results. We are 100% creators of our own reality.
The greatest impact on my reality is my thinking, my attitude and my deep seated beliefs, these manifest into patterns of behavior and patterns of action and that directly results into the manifestation that is my life.
If you do nothing but review and challenge your beliefs alter your thinking and attitude, that could be your most important work towards better results in your life!

Myriam Borg, The Create Australia Founder Reflection in Vanuatu October 2018
Lessons in life; as I near my 50th birthday I can't help but reflect... The following are lessons that are true to me, I hope sharing them can help you in your journey.
One of the greatest and hardest lessons to learn for me was to listen to other people's experiences with humility and to learn from others mistakes. Being a hardcore type A entrepreneur, I was born wanting to jump, to try things and to take risks.. These attributes were great assets of personality and if you have these you will go far, but learning from others experiences saves you a lot of heartache. I have seen many people work so hard, innovate and push and shove only to fail miserably... Why? Often I have observed that they do NOT listen to good advise, or they get bad advise that caters to their ego, or they simply ignore their gut feelings... And so crash and burn. I have observed it tens of times, and I myself tended to think ' I know best'... It’s a trick of the ego. And ego is actually a ' dream killer'!
So lesson number 1; get good honest proper advise and listen to your gut instinct. And above all else curb your ego, it is your enemy.
Lesson 2, your ego is your enemy- we live in an age where the individual is a superstar... Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest make us believe we are very very special... :) We are important, we are amazing... and we love it, we believe it because it makes us feel good without us having to do anything at all. On Facebook a clueless year 10 dropout can be a star without having any actual talent of their own, they believe it and if they get enough endorsement then it must be true...' They are amazing'. That is the ego gone crazy, we are in an age where people are actually dumber than ever, they are passified by media and screens and they exist in a fantasy endorsed by the social media and me first ideals. It is FALSE. And what you see resulting is a failure and breakdown of individuals. Depression is on the rise... The fantasy has not bearing on the reality. You start believing the fantasy, but then reality hits hard. For anything to be real and to last and be of value it has to be of your own genuine creation, effort. Not a copycat 'me too', ' I am fabulous just because I exist'... Curb the ego, you and I are actually not special, there is 8 billion of us and hundreds of billions lived and died without leaving any mark on their world... Human beings are only special when they do great service to others, so humility first- serve whenever you are asked and find ways to live with purpose. I find this lesson challenging! :)
The other thing I have learned from working with entrepreneurs is the lesson of honesty. Honesty is a hard one because we are such creatures of a surreal society that is built on perceptions but not truth.
Truth and integrity are a part of the human soul, its part of our conscience so to speak... If you are dishonest to yourself or others, it will trip you up. There is a self governing set of rules that are unbreakable-whether you know them or not does not make them less applicable on you. These rules say ' if you are not true to yourself and deal with absolute integrity with others you will be punished by life'... So I meet a lot of people who say things like " why me, I am a good person?" Or " bad things happen to good people" almost every time it relates to that person having a lack of honesty and integrity- they often lie and delude themselves too, but you can’t fool life, it has a way of making things right every time. If you experience ' bad things happening for no reason' you need to get honest with yourself. Its called congruency and until you get 'that' right, you keep on experiencing the same harsh medicine until you 'get it'... Some people never do ( refer to section on ego)
Finally get your priorities right, know what matters to you most it is of course where you give most of your time to! If what you do most is not what you love most then something is a miss and you need to assess and act from integrity to yourself. :)

'Myriam Borg' Reviews
Critical Thinking Is Your Key Skill
There is a lot of things they don't tell you, and most people are great at following rules and formulas but hopeless at critical thinking. Guess what the single attribute that all highly successful people have? Yes, critical thinking! Critical thinking is the ability to question without prior assumption, to evaluate and to arrive at your own conclusions. Its the OPPOSITE of mass thinking...What I call the sheep. In many ways critical thinking allows you to be open to solutions and options. You see the majority of the sheep are scared, they like to stay within the confines of what is familiar... What they think is safe...Baahhhaaah :) Critical thinkers step out all the time. It's not about safety. It's about an expansion of your experiences. You know me as the Refund consulting industry founder, and this is my love job... But what you don't know about me is that I am involved in several other businesses, why? Because it expands me as a human being, its fun and it's profitable...Why sit in a little corner doing the same thing? Why not expand your horizons there is so much fun stuff to do, skillsets to learn, passions to fulfill. Right now am toying with the idea of an ultra-lux jewellery line...What do I know about gems and jewellery making? Not much, but critical thinking allows me the capacity to collect intelligence, smart networks, and resources to make it happen. The point is, critical thinking is a key skill you must develop in order to be MORE.

Rebel Without A Cause, Secrets Of Successful Millionaires
Have you ever met a multi-millionaire?
If you have I am betting they had a rebellious streak. Hmmm, rebellion a trait to success? Really you ask... well, actually yes. I will explain to you in a second why as much as 90% of self-made multi-millionaires are natural born rebels. Think about this; the system; the entire status quo- our education system, our socially acceptable practices, our workplace system, the banking system and the media its all set up to restrict and basically screw the majority of people. How else do you explain 90% of the world working 5 to 6 days a week for 40 to 50 hours a week in order to just pay bills? These same people retire with less than 6 months earnings as their life savings. The entire system in the union is a. Set up to make you 'comply' to make you compliant and fearful and B. To screw you out of your most valuable commodity YOUR TIME. Why. Because my friend you ARE the fuel this system FEEDS OFF. You work to pay taxes to govt. Interest in the banks and the media they own tells you-you are good and holy for living such a responsible and compliant life. Now if you really think about it you have got to be retarded to actually believe this is a good deal! But you see they made you comply comply comply since you were 2 so you are conditioned to " go with" the system. Enter the person who is a natural rebel. They like to rebel. Yes, I am one of them... I don't accept things just because 'its just the way it is!' And I tend to have a slight reaction to authority. Many rebels are that way, you might be one of us rebel types and so can understand where I am coming from. B we see "BS" being sold to us by 'authority' 'as the 'right thing'. or 'the way it is" instead of complying like good little slaves they say 'Hell NO' AND what they do next is the thing that helps them find great success... Now what rebels do next is finding a way OUT of a restrictive situation. Do you want to work 6 days a week for 50 of the best daytime hours just to pay the bills only to get a day to recover so you can do it all again the following week? Oh, that's for the REST of your life by the way. Yes till you are old a decrepit... sounds good to you? Ummm how about Hell No! How about ' you have to give up on your dreams, its irresponsibly and not realistic. You have to be cautious in life. Dreams are fools. Better be career focused its what responsible people do' how about ' Ummmm hell NO' How about ' you gotta be a good citizen. Pay for bills, and if you have nothing left go without. That's life' Hell No What about " work hard at school get good grades. To work harder get the better job. Pay more taxes. Pay a bigger mortgage. Drive a bigger car. Sure it will destroy your soul and might drive you to drink, but its the right thing to do for social standing/family/ to get ahead/ respectability/ whatever other BS you would buy" how about HELL NO! So you see rebels say no a lot and really smart rebels figure out how to exit the status quo slavery as quickly as possible or as I say PRONTO! The easiest way to exist that compliant crap is.... financial independence and freedom. Smart business inclined Rebels know no one ever gets rich by working hard. Wealth is a result of the investment. Its a result of leveraging. It can be a result of creativity and innovation - is never a result of working hard for the boss. Not at any levels of that ladder. Rebels realise that either they find a way out of the status quo or they remain slaves forever. And that is never an option to a true rebel; they figure out ways to be free and as a result, they become millionaires and billionaires. If you are a rebel you are in good company. I hope I convinced you, my reader, why Rebels are OK:)! Insights Into The Mental & Work Patterns of Successful entrepreneurs by Myriam Borg
There is definitely something different about entrepreneurs, they are a breed of their own.
Whilst some people say entrepreneurs are born and not made – I disagree, I come from a
Mind set that says “if you model right” you can be anything you damn well want to be. I have made it my life’s mission to prove this exact point. You can do anything, be anything – if you are a mediocre loser, or a grunt, or a super success- that is by choice.
You choose ALWAYS, whether its by sheer will (my forte:) decisions you make or the decisions and choice you do NOT make. We are the creators of our own destiny. Its not as simplistic as stated I will give you that, but its not in-comprehensive either.
So what mental and work processes do successful entrepreneurs have? Generally speaking they tend to be type A personality – this diagram kind of explains the strive strive strive “just because” character of a Type A personality.
So make that your modus operatus if entrepreneurial-ship is your goal.
The other thing you will find entrepreneurial types have that other types don’t is that they are very creative and view the world and problem solving in a very very different way to the majority and nothing like the status quo- thoughts like mission impossible situations where everyone says “impossible move on!” the entrepreneurs think “ How do I do this, I am just not thinking outside of the box enough!” they tend to be rebels at heart. When someone says “you can’t do that” most people go “oh ok then” the entrepreneurs being natural rebels ask “ and why not?”- while most people think “who will allow me” the true entrepreneurs always think “who will stop me” to which the truth is no one really! We are our own limitation, our own jailers, its true.
Entrepreneurs work differently. While the grunts work consistently and rather unproductively at that- the entrepreneurs tend to go through periods of massive creativity & they work none stop not because they have to, but because they get obsessively driven with reaching their goals! And sometimes its weeks, months later – they go through a mini burn out…. Only to rise from the ashes to be obsessed with a new goal filled with drive.
Yes, I now what your are thinking – it sounds a bit unstable but we are talking about patterns that define entrepreneurs- and they are an ambitious never say die bunch, so working to exhaustion is a common trait- followed by period of burn out.
If you have been following me for the past 10 years you’d see it. I work like mad then the next thing you see is my blogs that sound like drivel because I am in a hammock at my place in Vavau reading light weight books, or shifting my focus off work by going all over Europe, or sailing some ocean… why it’s the only way I can recharge and refresh from the intensity that is the blessing AND the curse of every entrepreneur. Others do it differently, but all have highly active period followed by complete rest & diversion. It’s the nature of the beast, model it if you want in to the entrepreneurs club.
Entrepreneurs are resilient, adaptive and love change- the less enterprising tend to be the opposite – they tend to be inflexible, fixed in their ideas and they hate change of any kind.
But I think secretly entrepreneurs “love love love” Freedom,I know I do, and I recognize that quality in every entrepreneur I have met- there are plenty of conventional business people, but entrepreneurs they tend to dig their heels in when it comes to freedom- its not something they like to compromise on! I guess it’s a catch 22, they need to be entrepreneurial in order to have maximum freedom and having tasted freedom they are obsessively entrepreneurial because they want more of it.
When people succeed, it is often overlooked upon how hard they must have worked for them to reach where they are.
Myriam Borg, successful businesswoman from Create Australia and every successful business entrepreneur knows achievements takes a lot of courage, determination, will and hard work. Starting a business is one thing, but keeping it going is another matter entirely.
How to make it all work?
You have to constantly push yourself out of your comfort zone to reach, boost your confidence, grow your skills and fulfill your goals; which means you have to take risks and accept that when things go wrong, you can always survive and turn things around. That is the entrepreneur spirit!
" To succeed you have to believe in something, stay positive and embrace hard work at all times with such a great passion that it becomes a reality because successful people are not gifted or special; they just work REALLY hard, then victory is assured!. "
